Kayoung joined the NEQOS team as a Health Information Analyst in September 2014. Having gained a distinction in an MSc in Geographical Information Systems at the University of Leeds in 2005, Kayoung has a strong analytical background and has held research positions both in the UK and her native South Korea which include research assistant at the Korean Research Institute for Human Settlements and research assistant in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Imperial College.
Kayoung’s expertise of using a range of GIS software has brought strong spatial analytical skills to the NEQOS group and has been used for a Travel Impact Analysis to support an in-patient service reconfiguration for one of our subscribers. Kayoung also has experience of processing and analysing a range of health data and projects have included designing and developing a regional Safety Thermometer Tool and a National Shoulder Replacement Dashboard that is being used to support the national Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) project.
