A recent paper has been published on the role of NEWS, a National Early Warning System, in detecting clinical deterioration in adults. The study aimed to explore the feasibility of measuring the NEWS in care homes and describing the distribution of NEWS readings amongst care home residents. This paper was recently published in Age and Aging and co-authored by the NEQOS Deputy Director, Tony Roberts.
