Michael Walkley is a Health Information Analyst for the North East Quality Observatory Service (NEQOS) based at South Tees Hospitals.
Michael has a Masters in Operational Research for Health Management and brings extensive experience of data and information analysis across the system from health bodies including the Northern and Yorkshire Cancer registry, the Health Directorate of the Audit Commission, commissioning and provider organisations.
Since joining NEQOS in 2011 Michael has worked on a range of projects, in particular: providing mortality assurance for trusts across the NE and co-producing the quarterly mortality monitoring reports; project director for the work with Clarity on improving the care of patients in the NE with Community Acquired Pneumonia (CAP) and Sepsis; and, developing intelligence for Mental Health providers through harnessing a range of data and producing benchmarking information.
